Understanding the Minelab Equinox “2.0” (F2) Upgrade

Comparing the “FE” and “F2” (2.0) Equinox upgrades.

A Few Notes on the Minelab Equinox 2.0 Upgrade

While the “2.0” upgrade for the Minelab Equinox has great smoothness and rejection of alloys, there are some audio and speed consequences at the higher settings.  It rejects most  bottlecaps when set to “6.”  At “9” there is also rejection of more complex alloys such as low-grade aluminum “slag.”  There’s is also a wider bias range generally–with a lower “floor.”  A great “F2” tip for salt or tough ground is to reduce the Iron Volume (T1) to zero.  This will reduce falsing from the seabed or black sand.

The  Minelab Equinox 2.0 upgrade  is a great addition to the Equinox platform making for an effective tool for working tough sites.
